Cascade refrigeration system repairs in Chicago

Citywide went into AlloSource lab to do a repair on a Cascade refrigeration system in their human tissue processing lab.  Allosource is a human tissue/organ transplant lab, and here at Citywide we know the importance that quality plays in servicing any company.

Citywide Supply and Service provided the refrigeration repair at the AlloSource facility in downtown Chicago located at 311 West Superior Street.

AlloSource contacted Citywide and explained to us that they had a freezer that had a sensor control problem. The temperature on this refrigeration unit goes down to 100 below zero or (-100 degrees) on all Cascade refrigeration systems.

Standard Cascade Refrigeration System is capable of:

• 980 Watts of cooling from 100 to -25C.
• 1550 Watts of cooling at from -25 to -84C
• These cooling capacities are consistent with a system working in a room at 20C.

The Cascade refrigeration system uses a refrigerant which is very expensive, and not normally stocked by most refrigeration companies. AlloSource is an industry leader in the medical field.

Citywide certified technicians installing sensor control.

Citywide was called to service the AlloSource medical lab to repair their cooling system/controls that houses human skin tissue used by prominent hospitals and surgeons around the world.  Citywide came in and installed a new Cascade system compressor, and then our technicians recharged it with a Suva 95 R23 /R508B Refrigerant.

This Cascade control system was very sensitive and would sense any movement or vibration. The actual sensor control sits on top of the -100 below freezer, where we positioned ourselves to make the repair to the Cascade system/control sensor.
